Hempstead City of Character - Character Builders

Would you like to commit to being a "Character Builder"? Be one of the first to
endorse building good character, one quality at a time, into our community. It
starts by building it in our own lives and then within the group we are part of,
whether that be family, business/organization, government, education, faith
community, or sports organization.

You can sign up as an individual or as an organization, or both.

Read and study how to develop good character.
Learn about the character quality each month, with its definition
and applications ("I Will" statements).
See this website and other resources for additional study on each
character quality.
Help create a "culture" of character by discussing it, promoting it
where I can, and praising others for it.
Present the character quality to the family.
Develop an award system for character in the family.

Present the monthly character quality at monthly or weekly meetings to
employees or members.
Create a climate of character by displaying posters, bulletin
announcements, role models, etc.
Reward and discipline by the standards of good character.
